A Classic American Summer Boat Ride

Sometimes I look back to classic fashions of the summer and miss a little bit of what we have lost as a society. I mean look at Bacall and Bogart in this boat ride. Skin isn't what makes them attractive here, it is their casual smiles, there cool demeanor and of course their keen sense of self as represented by their classic boating clothes. They don't show too much skin because they don't need to show that skin. They are able to ooze the energy they need to with their charm and eyes. I miss the skill and effort that many put into acting and modeling to achieve that without showing boobs, butts and legs.

Beautiful Elegant Business Cards

I really do love the idea of elegant business cards I think they bring a touch of class to the world and help us to bring fashion to things like paper products. I mean how boring can you be with those plain white business cards. They've got nothing on something like the one below.

Evolution of the Sports Skirt

It's amazing to me how womens' sports used to be more about being prim and proper than they were about actually being athletic. Now that has changed and women are some of the top competitors in the world in all fields and I firmly believe that if you put us in the ring with boys we would be winning just as much as we would be losing. That said, I thought it would be interesting to look back and see how womens' athletic attire has changed over the years.

PAST

PRESENT

Pretty stark differences I know. I think it shows that women have come a long way and that we can do it while still looking good ;)

Your Car Personality

It shouldn't be that amazing to me (but it is) how much people use their cars as a reflection of their overall personality. That is why there are so many types and colors of cars out there - to better be an outward reflection of your inner feelings. To that extent cars are just like clothes, they reflect your inner feelings in an engaging way.

Fashionization of Violence

I really don't like the glorification of violence, I think that it makes boys more aggressive and dangerous, and I like even less the idea of turning violence into popular fashion. Look at this jewelery below, the idea that guns and knives can be a part of pop culture means that people want to have casual interactions with those items and that can't be good for society, there is no question about that.

Cool Modern Tea Pots

Not that I really drink coffee or tea that often, but it is cool to see how some designers make amazing things for your home, not just your body. See below for some really cool tea pots that are a bit different than the average bear.
