Family Reunion T-shirts Are A Good Idea

I was at beach for lunch today with my Dad and I noticed a large group of people that had reserved the whole patio. It was a family reunion. What was really cool is that they all had matching t-shirts on that all said something on them about the family reunion. I think it was a good way to show off your family pride when all together and I like to think if my family (not that we are that big) would get a family reunion t-shirt like that family did. I did some looking around on the internet and found some cool designs that I think would be so cute for my family. Now I just need to get everyone together for the reunion so that we can get the t-shirts!

Cute Flip Flop Season!

I love the summer because it is flip flop season and I know that I talk about sandals a lot, but I can’t help it. I mean look at these cuties! I swear they just get cuter and cuter sandals every year. I love these sandals from Havaians and I love the idea that the name basically means a cool Cuban vacation. I can handle that ;)

The Tweed Come Back

Leave it to the skinny jeans, fixed gear bike kids to bring tweed into style but it is happening. Fueled by forums and Facebook groups the tweed is taking off around the world. I think this is great because I love the classic styles and I think that this is in part a revolt against the over-sexed way people seem to dress today. So I say bring on the tweed and let us return to some decency in fashion.

Reading Lawn Chair

I think this has to be the best chair for laying out. Not only is it a lightweight and compact chair, it;s easy to read without straining your back. That is the largest issue for me is that when reading on my stomach I always hurt my neck and back. Now I don't have to worry about that. Not sure if any of the pools I will be visiting this summer will have one of them, but at least I can hope.

Very Cool for Weddings

I think that if I were to get married I would go with the much more traditional wedding invite, but I like the idea of being creative and trying something new. I for sure was able to read the whole thing and I really found their story interesting and heart warming. It's good to know that in this world of cheap love there are still some relationships that are solid as gold.

I Love Clean Dirty Dishwasher Magnets

I constantly find myself wondering if the dishes that are in the washer are clean or dirty since I am usually not the one that is loading the dishwasher ;). So that is why I love these magnets because you just stick them to the front of the dishwasher and just turn depending on the cleanliness of the dishes. Such an awesome idea and this magnet is soooo cute!

Vera Wang is Doing Dancing with the Stars

So this one caught me a little by surprise. Apparently Vera Wang is going to be doing Dancing with the Stars next season....To me, this is very strange. She is a fashion designer, not a star and I think that she should stick with what she knows. I think all that will come of this is that she might embarrass herself and make her clothes look cheap by the extension of her cheapening her personal brand. That is not something a high-fashion designer wants to be doing in my opinion. But what do I know? Vera has always seemed to buck the trends a bit so this could be something good for her. We'll just have to wait and see.

Is Old Navy Getting Better?

So I was walking downtown with my Dad and shopping of course! I always drag my dad along because he is an awesome clothing holder :), and we just happened to walk by an Old Navy. Normally I would never step foot in that suburban Mom, dress the kids, hellhole but I found myself actually attracted to some of the swimsuits (both two piece and singles) that they had. I actually went in and looked at them! So what is wrong with me? Have I lost my fashion edge? I like to think that I haven't. I like to think that instead, Old Navy has done much like what Target has done and hired young trendy designers to make them more on the cutting edge of fashion without the cost. So I am not sure on this, but whatever they are doing I like it! See below for the swimsuit that I really liked.

Shirts My Way.com

This is a very interesting site that I was reading about. It allows you to sign on to their website and custom build a men's button-down shirt. Of course this doesn't have much application to me, but I still think it is pretty interesting. You can literally design every part of the shirt and then they have tailors in China that will hand sew the shirt for you and mail it out. $60 for a hand tailored shirt seems reasonable to me, but I don't have that much exposure. Still a very interesting business model and definitely the first I've seen of a company that really brings international fashion together.
